LOWRY FAMILY RAISES €30,000 FOR ST ANNE'S WARD

Enormous thanks to the Lowry family - Pauline, Eamon, Esther, Trisha and Julieanne - for their amazing donation of €30,000 to St Anne's Ward. The funds were raised through a gigantic tractor run held in their home town of Thurles, Co Tipperary on Sunday 16th February.

The event was organised in support of husband and father, Ned Lowry, who bought a David Brown tractor in 2018, with a view to restoring it and hosting a tractor run. Unfortunately, due to illness, Ned never got the opportunity to restore his David Brown. But Clonoulty Rossmore Vintage Club heard about his vision to restore his tractor and offered to help.

With the tractor restored, the family went ahead with their plan to organise a tractor run just a month before Ned passed away, raising a total of €62,000 which was split between Beaumont Hospital and Milford Hospice,

What a lovely story and a fantastic tribute to Ned in his final days. Many thanks to all who contributed to raising this huge sum for St Anne's Ward and for improvements in patient care at Beaumont Hospital.
