Faulkner Family Incredible Fundraising

Beaumont Hospital Foundation was delighted to welcome The Faulkner Family to Beaumont Hospital this week for a special cheque presentation in support of the Neuroscience Department at Beaumont Hospital.

The family presented an incredible donation of €14,208.80, raised through a hugely successful charity night and wider community fundraising efforts held earlier this year in Coleraine, Co. Derry. The event included live music, raffles, auctions, sponsorship, donations and online fundraising, with overwhelming support from the local community.

The fundraiser was organised in support of causes very close to the family’s heart following Conan Faulkner’s treatment and neurosurgery at Beaumont Hospital under the care of Professor Donncha O’Brien. The family also supported Bowel Cancer Research UK in honour of Conan’s mum, who underwent bowel cancer surgery in 2024.

Despite facing an incredibly difficult period as a family, the Faulkners turned their experience into something truly positive by raising vital funds to support future patients attending Beaumont Hospital’s Neuroscience Department.

The cheque was presented to Aideen Kiernan, Community Fundraising & Events Manager at Beaumont Hospital Foundation, during the family’s recent visit to Beaumont Hospital.

Speaking following the presentation, Aideen said:

“We are so grateful to Keeley, Conan and the entire Faulkner Family for their incredible support, kindness and determination throughout this fundraiser. The amount raised is absolutely phenomenal and will make a real difference to future patients attending Beaumont Hospital’s Neuroscience Department.

It was a privilege to welcome the family to Beaumont this week and to thank them in person for everything they have done.”
