We’re absolutely delighted to follow the inspiring journey of Pam Cassidy, a former Beaumont patient who is proudly representing Ireland at the World Transplant Games in Dresden, Germany this week.
A Gift of Life
On August 9, 2024, Pam received a life-changing call from Beaumont Hospital—a donor kidney was available. After more than three years on the transplant list and over two challenging years on dialysis, Pam received what she beautifully calls the “Gift of Life.” Her life has been transformed by this extraordinary act of generosity, and now she's committed to paying it forward through fundraising and awareness.
Pam has raised €5,570…and counting, to support the Renal Transplant Unit at Beaumont Hospital, where she received exceptional care from Ms. Dilly Little and the transplant team. Every euro will go directly to supporting their vital, life-saving work.

Pam is keeping a digital diary throughout the Games, sharing her experiences, reflections, and highlights along the way. You can follow her journey here:
