Fundraiser Spotlight: Janet Deegan
When Janet's husband Steve was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2024, Beaumont Hospital became a huge part of their lives.
After Steve underwent a 20-hour surgery in Beaumont Hospital, months of rehabilitation and later radiotherapy treatment, he continues to attend Beaumont for ongoing care. Grateful for the support and treatment he received, Janet decided she wanted to give something back.
This September, Janet is taking on her Boots for Beaumont 4 Peaks Challenge, climbing four mountains to raise vital funds for Beaumont's Neuroscience services.
Janet has already raised over €8600 and is showing no signs of slowing down. Between training hikes, bucket collections and rallying support from family and friends, she is putting her heart and soul into this challenge.
