Amazing Aoife's Fun Run Fundraising

We want to share a big THANK YOU to Aoife McConnell who has raised an incredible amount of funds from taking part in The Big Beaumont Hospital Fun Run this month. Aoife raised funds for two different areas in Beaumont Hospital, one of which is the Physiotherapist Department.

Aoife is pictured handing over a cheque for €1000 to Sonya McConnell who is a Senior Physiotherapist here at Beaumont Hospital. Aoife has also raised significant funds to support Head and Neck Diseases and Cancer at Beaumont Hospital.

Over the past 5 months, Aoife has been under the wonderful care of Beaumont Hospital and on 11th May, she underwent extensive head and neck surgery, with a collaboration of multiple medical teams, all striving for the best possible outcome.

Aoife shared: “This journey has had its share of twists and turns, yet I've been blessed to receive nothing less than the best care from top consultants, dedicated ICU teams, radiologists, robotic experts, hyperbaric chamber, physiotherapists, speech and language specialists, and many more unsung heroes in Beaumont”.

While Aoife’s journey with Beaumont is still ongoing, she selflessly took on The Big Beaumont Hospital Fun Run to show her gratitude for the treatment and care she has received and will continue to receive.

We are so grateful to Aoife for this amazing support. These funds will make an incredible different to so many patients and staff at Beaumont.
