Dore Family Donates €3,000 to Richmond ITU

BACK »
Almost a year ago, Christina Dore from Howth suffered two brain anuerysms and, as a result, ended up in Beaumont Hospital, the national neurosurgical centre where she remained for several weeks as a long stay patient on Richmond ITU.

Thankfully, her story reflects someone who has made a fantastic recovery following a very serious neuro condition. Christina has been encouraged all the way in her recovery by her husband, John, and her three daughters, Louise, Aoife and Claire. Last June, the three girls pushed Christina in her wheelchair around the 10K Women's Mini Marathon course and Christina stood up to walk across the finish line!

They came back to Richmond Ward to present Helen Keenan, CNM2, and her staff with a check for €3,000 which they and their extended family and friends raised to help future patients of the ward. A big, big thank you to all the Dore family and those who contributed to their various fundraisers in the past year. The staff were amazed at how well Christina is doing and we wish her well with her continued recovery.
