Heather Porter's Marathon Run for Cochlear Implant Dept

BACK »

Heather Porter, originally from Kilmuckridge in Wexford (now living in Galway), ran the Dublin City Marathon last October in a cracking time of under four hours to raise €1,552 for the Cochlear Implant Programme at Beaumont Hospital.

Heather's young cousin, Damien, had a cochlear implant and his mother has encouraged the extended family to do some fundraising for the programme in return for restoring Damien to hearing.

Heather now works as a pastry chef in the Park House Hotel in Galway and is pictured with Fergal Glynn of the Cochlear Implant Programme at Beaumont Hospital and her cousins Damien (L) and Nathan (R). Thanks Heather!
