Twelve year old, Shane Mc Nevin, from Broadford, Co Kildare has been attending Beaumont Hospital for treatment for hydrocephalus and has spent long stretches as a patient on St Raphael's Children's Ward. A first year student, Shane is recovering from his condition and his football club, BBC United in Kildare organised a charity tournament before Christmas, raising €351 for St Raphael's Ward. Thanks to the club and its players and to the Shane's parents, Elizabeth and Donal and his sister Ciara for their support.
