The first part of their medical assessment is to visually examine the patient to see the extent of injury or other symptoms and do this their clothes need to be removed quickly and efficiently. In many cases, a patients clothes will be cut off and, as a result, it is oftern the case that patients are discharged home wearing nothing more than a hospital gown.
The social work department in ED were looking for funding to purchase a small stock of undergarments, track suit bottoms and other items of basic clothing to provide to patients who find themselves in this situation on discharge from ED. Click here to see all projects funded in 2015
