Gliding through Wicklow in 2018

Monday, 17 September, 2018

A huge thanks to those who took part in our second Glide cycle which raises funds for Men's Cancer Services at Beaumont Hospital.

This year's our supporters took a looped route through Co Wicklow with two different distances - 80 and 125km - on offer to cyclists. The weather was fantastic for cycling. Not too hot, light breeze and blue skies for most of the day and the route was hugely enjoyable following roads which even the experienced cyclists had never taken before. Lunch stop was in the beautiful National Botanic Gardens in Kilmacurragh, another new find for many and it was great to gather round for the pre-cycle chats in Greystones RFC.

Thanks to Fran McDermott for his help and support in pulling everyone together for the event and thanks to the many returnees from last year's event.

It was a wonderful day and if you're interested in cycling and supporting Beaumont Hospital by taking part, please contact us to find out details about next year's event.
