May 12th is the birthday of Florence Nightingale and is celebrated world wide as International Nurses Day.

Beaumont Hospital celebrated the day with it's nursing staff by holding a reception in the hospital at which hundreds of hand-written messages of support from patients and families were displayed for nursing staff to read while they enjoyed a cup of tea and cake.

Our nurses get limited recognition for what they do and Beaumont Hospital Foundation was delighted to help out with the organisation of the day.

Thanks to all out nurses for their hardwork and dedication to their jobs.
